Gov Ball 2012Beck, Passion Pit, Duck Sauce, Chromeo, Fiona Apple and Atmosphere… they’re all performing at The Governors Ball Music Festival in NYC and if you’re a DJ, dance or electronic musician, you could be too. We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve just opened submissions to perform at the Governors Ball first ever silent disco, one of many exciting additions to this  two-day, two-stage celebration of the biggest and best acts in live music.

With more than 25,000 festival-goers per day, the Governors Ball will give eight talented ReverbNation artists the opportunity of a lifetime. Care to submit your best? Click here — but do it soon. Submissions end on May 31.

And just to sweeten the deal…selected artists will be provided with VIP passes to the festival including free beverages. In addition, selected artists will receive promotion through the official Governors Ball site and email marketing. Stop reading this and submit now!

I don’t understand the submission requirement for the governors ball DJ competition. You are asking DJ’s to submit A song? Or am I to submit a sample set. Where are the instructions on this?

Hi OBaH — All you have to do is submit your RPK (ReverbNation Press Kit), which includes your songs, videos, photos, etc. If you don’t have a RPK set up yet, you can get it here: http://www.reverbnation.com/main/overview_artist?feature=press_kit
    Hope this helps! :)
