Performed at Yonder Mountain String Band’s Harvest Music Festival 2012…

Folk band The Ragbirds.

With a brand new album in 2012, the up-and-coming Michigan band The Ragbirds has been traveling the country with their “infectious global groove” gathering a passionate grassroots fan base of all ages. While playing at the Harvest Music Festival back in October, The Ragbirds had the pleasure to share stage with Yonder Mountain String Band, Leftover Salmon, The Jayhawks, Punch Brothers, Joe Purdy, and others.

Played a secret pop-up gig organized by Sofar Sounds in Brooklyn…

Pop electronic artist Adam Tronsen didn’t let the “acoustic only” request stop him and his band from submitting to the opportunity; instead, they adapted their music to the audience and did an amazing job at it. Sofar Sounds has created a movement which brings music lovers together in secret living room locations to hear some of the world’s most cutting edge artists.

“I heard about it through ReverbNation, and checked out the Sofar Sounds website. I saw that they only featured acoustic acts but I figured what the hell and applied anyway. I’ve been submitting to certain events for a few months now so it surprised me when I actually heard back from this one. It was only one week in advance, I was scheduled to work the night of the show, and I wasn’t sure if my band mates could play that night, but it was great to have been “chosen” so I said yes to it. We had to rework our playing technique and I had to adjust some progamming but it ended up going really well. I’d be happy to do it again.”

Featured on Subbacultcha! Magazine…

Californians Haster gained international exposure by being featured on a Dutch magazine. Subbacultcha! is an independent, multidisciplinary music and culture platform from Amsterdam. Their main goal is to use their platform to promote challenging, uncompromising, cutting edge artists and provide them with the audience that they deserve.

“We heard about it through the opportunities ReverbNation sends out daily and we were able to submit our music for free into the entry and we so happen to be selected for the article. We submit our music all the time for anything that fit our music genre. We won before, we got a slot to play the Lunar Festival in Jan 2013 but we unfortunately can’t play it since our singer will be in South Africa. It was really exciting to be chosen for this. Any avenue where we can show people our music and get some added exposure is critical for an unsigned band like Haster. Every person that sees our name/hears our music gives us better odds of getting noticed in the big mainstream of the music industry.”

Played at the 2nd Annual Holiday Jamboree (For Grownups)…

The alternative rock band The NowhereNauts won a spot at the 2nd Annual Holiday Jamboree (For Grownups!) — a musical and dance extravaganza that took place at DROM NYC on December 18th.

“We’re always looking for chance to play in the city (New York), either with friends, or bands coming to town, etc… ReverbNation has made our searches easier. Unfortunately, we had missed the Holiday Jamboree last year, but when the opportunity presented itself through a ReverbNation email/request for participants — we jumped at the opportunity to be part of it! We’ve submitted to five, maybe six events, and this was the first performance event that we were able to be part of.  It was great to be selected. We’re rather particular about what we we’re willing to submit to, because you don’t want to get invited to a music festival where people just aren’t interested in your music! The Holiday Jamboree was a great fit for us, so we were very happy to have been chosen! The show was great. The venue (Drom NYC) was especially helpful and Jennifer Logue (organizer) was really terrific about information, and set times, and organizing the whole thing to benefit New York Cares for hurricane Sandy relief.”

Chosen the Colorado Music Buzz’s ReverbNation Artist of the Month…

Alternative rock band Crown Point was chosen the Colorado Music Buzz’s artist of the month in November. Crown Point’s new album Curtains was released November 13th, and they’re currently touring the US in support of it.

“It seems to us that playing music is about more than entertainment.  We’ve done our best to do some tangible good with the opportunities we’ve been given, and have worked with some organizations we believe in, like the American Red Cross, the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association, the March Of Dimes, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and Forward Edge International. We’ll be donating a percentage of the sales of our upcoming album to Tucker-Maxon, an amazing school for hearing-impaired children in Portland. If you’d like us to play a benefit show for a cause that you, and we, believe in, please let us know.”
