Stars aren’t created; they’re discovered. You know you have the voice and powerful music to inspire generations…you just need the chance to prove it to the world. Now you can, thanks to Indie Icon presented by Verizon.
Verizon is looking for the hottest indie music acts making their mark on the Midwest music scene. And if you have what it takes, you could be taking the stage at the Verizon booth at the 2013 ESSENCE Festival™ presented by Coca-Cola—the world’s largest African American-based music festival held over the Fourth of July weekend in New Orleans, Louisiana.
To be eligible for this contest, you must:
• Be a solo artist or group with no more than six members
• Be 21 or older
• Live in Illinois, Wisconsin, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Missouri, Kansas, Minnesota or Nebraska
• Create music in the following genres: Blues; Christian/Gospel; Electronic; Hip Hop; Jazz; R&B/Soul; Rap; Reggae
• Submit an original song (4 minutes, max) no later than 11:59 pm EST on April 21

What was your favorite part of summer camp? Was it sleeping in a tent? Making s’mores and singing songs around the glow of the fire pit? How about making new friends? At the Summer Camp Music Festival, you can relive all of these childhood memories while creating new ones that are just as exciting.
The Summer Camp Music Festival will select one (1) ReverbNation act to perform in front of 15,000+ music fans at Three Sisters Park in Chillicothe, IL. The selected artist will be performing with moe., Umphrey’s McGee, Trey Anastasio Band, STS9, The Avett Brothers, Thievery Corporation, Zed’s Dead, Big Gigantic, Yonder Mountain String Band, Keller Williams w/ More Than A Little, Diplo, EOTO, Big Boi, Taj Mahal Trio, Gramatik, Paper Diamond, Griz, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, North Mississippi All-Stars, Conspirator, Cornmeal, Lettuce, Future Rock, Victor Wooten (Artist at Large) and many more.
Artist/Band Compensation: $250-300
Expected Attendance: 15,000

Join the lineup for Gulf Coast Jam Country Music Festival

If your idea of fun in the sun includes performing at the beach alongside some of the biggest names in country music, look no further than the Gulf Coast Jam Country Music Festival.
Gulf Coast Jam is a 3-day Country Music Festival where approximately forty-five acts will perform for an expected attendance of 15,000 per night and 5,000 per day. Six (6) ReverbNation acts will be selected to perform on any of the stages, including: the Headline Stage (Frank Brown Park), three Beachfront Stages (Edgewater Beach & Golf Resort, The Boardwalk Beach Resort and Seahaven Beach Resorts), or at any of the late night venues.
Some of the artists and bands confirmed to play are Toby Keith, Brantley Gilbert, Trace Adkins, Eli Young Band, Kip Moore, Charlie Daniels Band, Pepsi’s X Factor Winner Tate Stevens, Darryl Worley, and Blackberry Smoke. More will be announced soon!

Euroblast Festival – The Ninth Coming, hosted by The Euroblast Collective, is the ninth annual experimental, progressive, djent and tech metal festival in Cologne, Germany. Euroblast expects a global audience. Confirmed bands for the festival include Mnemic, Benea Reach, Xerath, Cyclamen, The Omega Experiment, Hacride & Klone. The festival is looking for five ReverbNation bands to play in October 2013. Last year’s artists include Long Distance Calling, After the Burial, Scar Symmetry and Jeff Loomis.
