Entering its second year, the three-day rock and roll festival brings together seasoned performers and emerging talents. Last year’s inaugural event featured accomplished acts like Ben Harper, Los Lobos, The Lumineers and North Mississippi Allstars. This year, world-renowned musicians David Byrne, Cake, Rodrigo and Gabriela, Drive By Truckers and Steve Earle will all be taking the stage!

Quebec’s first alternative music festival, Envol et Macadam, celebrates its 15th year of transforming Quebec City into an oasis for over 25,000 festival lovers. More than 100 local and international bands perform each year on outdoor and indoor stages throughout downtown QC, making it one of Canada’s biggest live music events! Some of the biggest names in alternative and punk music have rocked the crowds at Envol et Macadam, including Bad Religion, Mastodon, Sum 41, Pennywise, Karkwa, The Sounds, Metric, Malajube, Raekwon, Bloc Party, Hatebreed, IAM, The Exploited, As I Lay Dying, No Use For A Name and Lagwagon.
PlanetRox is a worldwide music competition whose mission is to discover the best new bands and expose them to an international audience at Envol et Macadam 2013. The best up-and-coming bands in participating countries will be given a chance to play an outdoor stage at the festival and network with thousands of music fans and industry professionals. If your band is chosen to perform, you’ll receive compensation toward travel, four-star accommodations for four nights in central Quebec City, free passes for the festival and promotion in festival communications!
