Performing at Cavendish Beach Music Festival 2013…
Mike Bravener is an exciting Rockabilly/Classic Country entertainer from the East Coast of Canada. He says he was “surprised and jubilant all within 30 seconds” when he found out he was chosen to perform at the Cavendish Beach Music Festival, now the home of the largest multi-day outdoor music festival in Atlantic Canada. More than 50,000 visitors annually flock to the festival for the biggest names in country music, camping, dining, the warmest waters north of the Carolinas and to create memories that last a lifetime.
“I heard about this opportunity through ReverbNation and applied. It was just that easy. I had applied in the past for this festival and had been rejected or put on file, but perseverance is the key. I have been very fortunate in my career to have performed “Elvis Tribute” shows with DJ Fontana, Elvis’ drummer 1955-1968 and Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame Member and he keeps encouraging to apply. ‘Somebody somewhere will love what you do eventually.’ “
Played the LifeLight Festival in Missouri…
After reviewing hundreds of submissions, the folks at LifeLight Festival — a non-profit that offers festivals free of admission so that all may go to hear the Gospel message — invited pop act Spencer Kane and his Kane Krew to compete at their Missouri festival for a few different possible results. If he won, he’d automatically be invited back in 2014 as a main stage headliner act. The result: HE WON! In addition, he’ll get to tour all 20 festivals this summer. Here’s what he has to say about his experience:
“I met several other national recording artists at the festival and made a lot of new fellow artist friends as well as gained a lot of new fans. I’m happy to report that this summer will be my first real touring summer after having toured earlier this spring to 6 states. This single event, however, was a highlight of my year.”
Scored a feature with the AU Review online music publication…
A young explorer at heart, Merry Ellen Kirk challenges the stigma of the formulaic love song, daring her audience to consider the world in a new light. Her lyrics weave tales of heartbreak & fragility, tension & resolution, deep longing & what-could’ve-beens, on a contrasting musical fabric of playful melodies and saccharine vocals. Though she’s been selected for various showcases and features through ReverbNation’s Opportunities program, she says it was an amazing feeling to get the magic “Congratulations!Your submission has been accepted!” from the AU Review, a publication that provides readers with unbiased & independent reviews frrom writers around Australia.
I’ve been a member of ReverbNation for years and I submit to the free opportunities in my genre as often as possible. I’m excited for this feature with the AU Review. They’ve been really great about communicating so far, and I’m looking forward to the feature & interview.

Rocked out at Wakarusa Music Festival 2013…
With influences ranging from jazz, blues and funk to progressive, psychedelic and electronic, Soap skillfully fuses all of these genres into one: dance infused rock. The band got picked through ReverbNation’s Opportunities program to grace the stage of Wakarusa Music Festival on May 31st, a grassroots festival nestled in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas where the beauty of nature synchronizes with the euphoric sounds of live music. Other also performing there included Snoop Lion, Dispatch, The Black Crowes and STS9. Well done Soap, well done.
Rocked the stage at MOVE Music Festival 2013…
Chris McCarty — the singer-songwriter who, when faced with the decision between music and basketball, chose music — is also a charismatic performer who is known for writing catchy hooks, and meaningful songs that have helped him play hundreds of gigs in the U.S. According to his bio, McCarty has shared the stage with the legendary James Brown, Dave Mathews Band, Jason Mraz, Colbie Callait, Sugar Ray, G Love and Special Sauce, Blues Traveler, Robert Randolph and the Family just to name a few. This year, McCarty got to rock the stages of MOVE Music Festival, which consists of approximately 100 acts performing at venues across Albany, New York. Right on!
