Performing for industry giants at the Driven Music Conference
Take two parts rock and roll attitude, one part punk swagger, add a splash of fist pumping anthems, shake vigorously over a healthy dose of sexy, and you will have an electrifying concoction named; The Die Nasties. This Nashville band was selected to perform at this year’s Driven Music Conference in Atlanta!
“It’s always nice to get that email in the inbox that lets you know that someone out there gets you and what you’re doing. There are so many ‘no’ days when you’re in this fight, the occasional ‘yes’ day is what keeps the fire burning.”
Opening for Scott Weiland at the world famous Stone Pony
The Stone Pony, located in Asbury Park, NJ, may be best known as a starting point for famed New Jersey musicians Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi, and Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes. But Brooklyn rock band, Black Water Rising, picked to open for Scott Weiland at the historic venue, may just have joined their ranks.
Scored a feature on the homepage of Urban Ink Magazine
Urban Ink Magazine gives a voice to people of color who are a part of the tattoo culture. They celebrate every facet of the culture, while keeping the publication’s focus on the Urban community. Tucson pop artist, Tora Woloshin, was picked to be featured on Urban Ink’s homepage! Other artists to be featured by the publication include Lil Wayne, The Game, Birdman, and Jim Jones.
“I’m very proud of my ink because most of them are my own designs and express how I feel or an event in my life. Urban Ink is a great way to show it off and gain some exposure as a musician as well.”
Rocked the ReverbNation stage at WIIL Rock Fest 2013
This year’s WIIL Rock Fest included a ReverbNation stage, with a performance by Fist to the Sky, a four piece melodic metal band from Chicago. The band prides themselves on their ability to fuse great melodies into their heavy, but radio-friendly sound. They’ve just come off a long run of shows and mini tours dating back to February 2012. Despite the rigors of touring, they’ve found time to work on their upcoming EP.
“It was an unbelievable feeling for the band and our fans. I think our fans were the most excited because of the opportunity to see FIST TO THE SKY on the big stage and at a summer fest.”
Jammed out at the House of Blues in San Diego
