So, if you’re wondering who submits to opportunities and what happens after submissions close, hear from the musicians themselves in the post below. Watch, listen and congratulate them in the comments. Fit For Rivals for ReverbNation

Fit for Rivals, ReverbNation artist since 2008.

Six-piece rock band Fit for Rivals knows that when it comes to their music career, “exposure is everything.” So when the band was chosen to be featured in an interview and have their song broadcast on prominent podcast and radio spot, The Eddie Jason and Chris Show, they knew it would be key in growing their fanbase.

“Exposure is everything, and with our new album coming out in early 2015, we’ve been working hard to get people to listen to our music. We knew ReverbNation had a lot to offer when it comes to getting coverage, and started exploring opportunities more.

The radio show was an opportunity that stood out to us, so we took a chance and submitted. Every ReverbNation opportunity we’ve won has been key in helping us increase our fanbase and online presence. This one was no different. ReverbNation offers excellent tools, and we plan on diving deeper to take advantage of everything it has to offer.  It has proven nothing but beneficial thus far.” – Renee Phoenix, Fit for Rivals

Vegas rockers Palaye Royale got some attention earlier this spring when they beat out Coldplay in MTV’s Musical March Madness Contest. We thought it was pretty cool – and so did the Eddie Jason and Chris Show.

Made their debut at Florida’s biggest Rock festival

Bellusira

Bellusira, ReverbNation artist since 2010.

Rising Austrailian band, Bellusira, achieved every rock band’s dream; They played Fort Rock Festival, Florida’s biggest Rock festival alongside some of their rock heroes, like Korn, Five Finger Death Punch, Rob Zombie, Seether, Theory of a Deadman, Black Stone Cherry. Fans agreed that Bellusira kicked ass and put on an amazing show. And the band was even able to meet some fellow rockers, like Head from Korn!

Gave back through her music for BOSTON STRONG

Ashley Jordan

Ashley Jordan, ReverbNation artist since 2013.

Boston native Ashley Jordan was deeply saddened by the tragedies that happened close to home last year, both at Sandy Hook Elementary and at the Boston Marathon. She began to write songs to inspire peace and hope. When the opportunity arose to have her music featured on BOSTON STRONG, a compilation album to benefit One Fund Boston and give back to those affected by the tragedy, Ashley jumped at the chance.

“This has been a very emotional and uplifting journey. After the Sandy Hook Elementary tragedy of last year, I began to write a song called ‘New England Tears.’ It was too difficult to finish, and I put it aside. After the Boston Marathon tragedy, I knew I had to finish the song.

I attended a music competition in Nashville the following year, and felt empowered to perform my song. I ended up winning the competition and was moved by fans and listeners who were able to connect with the song.

When I saw the ReverbNation opportunity to have a song featured on BOSTON STRONG, it felt like it was meant to be. ‘Musicians for a Cause,’ the organization who put together BOSTON STRONG, was incredibly supportive. Through them I was able to meet a videographer who created a music video for the song in less than a week.

The song is about people coming together in the face of adversity, and I’ve felt such a sense of community and togetherness throughout this process. Most importantly, it’s helped me connect with listeners through music and bring inspiration and healing to those who need it most.”

Scored an exclusive feature in the Milwaukee Rock Music Examiner

Silence is Broken

Silence is Broken, ReverbNation artist since 2010.

Illinois-based rock band Silence is Broken has been touring and promoting the hell out of their sophomore album, Elevate. Being chosen to be featured in the Milwaukee Rock Music Examiner was an amazing addition to their publicity efforts, since the site is read by 16 million users a day, and is published on CBS and World News sites.

The band was selected by music journalist Kellie Levans out of 3,000 other submissions. In the article, Levans explains why she chose Silence is Broken for this exclusive opportunity. After hearing the band on the radio, Levans was interested in learning more about them. It turned out they were one of the many bands that submitted to the Rock Examiner opportunity!

Made their mark at the Knitting Factory’s “Music Industry Secrets: Marketing Your Brand” panel and showcase

Stargroves, Evan Brum and the Royal High and Jason Kerrison performed for industry professionals and brushed up on their marketing skills at a panel hosted by Brooklyn’s Knitting Factory with support from ReverbNation and Jägermeister. The artists performed, mingled with one another, met the panelists and industry professionals and networked with attendees who could help them take the next step in their career. Not to mention, they learned helpful ways to enhance their brands, pitch themselves and get their name out there to the industry and fans.
