Artist Spotlight: Max Jury, EchoDroides, Jude Shuma, Shah Jahan

Each week, ReverbNation CONNECT explores the site for great new music — this week get to know Max Jury, EchoDroides, Jude Shuma, and Shah Jahan.

Max Jury

A singer-songwriter with a mellow sort of swagger, Max Jury is busy at work finishing up his debut album due out on June 3rd. His newest track, “Numb,” premiered on The Line of Best Fit and perfectly layers Gospel-inspired vocals and unhurried riffs. If you’re in Europe, be sure to catch him on tour following his album release.

The collaboration between Chicago natives Frank De La Mora and Trancid (Miguel Martin) marries synthpop with a dash of Italo and Nu Disco. You’ll start obsessing over their dreamy electro-pop sounds the first time you hear “Golden.” If you were lucky enough to score tickets, they’ll be doing a DJ set at the sold out After Dark event at the Art Institute of Chicago tomorrow night.

Jude Shuma

If you’re into psychedelic rock, look no further than the captivating Jude Shuma. The Chicago Tribune described his upcoming EP as “a bright, airy, instantly memorable collection of brisk tracks,” and “Might As Well” is no exception. Experience his hypnotic sound this Saturday at 1st Ward in Chicago along with fellow ReverbNation CONNECT artists Shah Jahan, Ron Gallo, and Glass Lux.

Shah Jahan

Bringing groovy riffs and a psychedelic, brit-pop-infused sound, Shah Jahan has been praised by The Minimal Beat and The Deli Magazine. Get lost in the groovy sounds of “Sunset Moon” before seeing them on Saturday night at 1st Ward in Chicago or during their mini spring tour as they make their way to SXSW.
